What to do if your WA CAC Member Injures themselves while serving?

  1. Make sure the CAC member seeks the medical assistance s/he needs. Inform the medical staff that it was service/work related and it will be likely covered under WWU Workers Compensation.
  2. Notify the CAC Program Director
  3. Have CAC member review the WWU Workers Compensation steps for an injured worker.
  4. As the Supervisor, please review the WWU Workers Compensation steps for a supervisor of an injured worker.
  5. Have the CAC member complete the first page and supervisor complete the top of the second page of the WWU Accidental Injury/Occupational Illness Report (important to complete within 24 hours of accident)
  6. Fax WWU Accidental Injury/Occupational Illness Report to 360-650-6514 WWU Environmental Health and Safety
  7. Await next steps from the WWU Claims Manager
