About the Western Region Campus Compact Consortium
In 1996, the Campus Compacts of California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington collaborated to form the Western Region Campus Compact Consortium for the purpose of building a regional network of service-learning practitioners.
The Continuums of Service conference evolved from this collaboration, as have multiple other programs and initiatives including Learn and Serve America programs, the Students in Service AmeriCorps program, and regional evaluation and sustainability initiatives.
Over the years, the Western Region Campus Compact Consortium has expanded to include campuses in Idaho and the Pacific Islands, and the Campus Compacts of Montana, Colorado, and Utah.
The Western Region Campus Compact Consortium continues to strive for innovative programs and initiatives to advance the service-learning/community engagement field through collaboration, developing sustainable program models, training, assessment, and dissemination.
