The Retention Project
College/University Based Mentoring Program
The
Retention Project, a college-based mentoring program, utilizes service-learning as a strategy to improve the retention of first-generation college students and the academic advancement of disadvantaged and non-traditional college, high school, and middle school students. The Retention Project is funded by the Washington Commission for National and Community Service. Additional support for college access efforts is funded by
KnowHow2GO, ensuring middle and high school students know the steps to get ready for college. Support for training, assessment and program expansion is provided by
College Spark Washington, helping low-income students become college-ready and complete their degrees.
