Q: I am currently participating in AmeriCorps and have a question about my Education Award. Who should I contact?
For general questions about the Education Award and student loan deferment, contact National Service Trust at 1-800-942-2677. Live operators are available from 8:00 am to -6:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday. If you have successfully completed your AmeriCorps service, you can view your AmeriCorps Education Award account balance and activity online. To request a copy of your AmeriCorps Education Award voucher or report a change of address, you can visit http://www.nationalservice.gov/questions/app/ask
Q: How is "veteran" defined by CNCS?
A:"a person who served in the active military, naval, or air service, and who was discharged or released therefrom under conditions other than dishonorable"

Q: Lunch breaks: If I take a half hour lunch break during an 8 hour work day (9am-5pm), do I say that I worked 8 hours that day? Or did I only work 7 1/2 hours?
A: Lunch breaks do not count as work time and therefore must be subtracted for each day.
Q: When is my pay check deposited into my account?
A: For Washington members, the check for the 1st pay period is deposited on the 25th and for the second on the 10th. When that falls on a Saturday, the check is deposited on a Friday and when that falls on a Sunday, it’s deposited on a Monday.
Q: What and how do I need to report to WACC and Americorps at the end of the reporting period?

Q: I’m writing an article about the Retention Project. Are there any special guidelines that I need to know about submitting information about The Retention Project and AmeriCorps?
A: “The AmeriCorps Retention Project is a program of Washington Campus Compact and is funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service.” Please also make sure to incorporate the Retention Project logo.

A: Login to MyWestern. Click on Web4U in the top middle of MyWestern Homepage. Click “Employee.” Click “Pay Information.” Click “Pay Stub.” If you’re having trouble, call Western at 360.650.3430.
