    Civic Leadership and Engagement Corps (CLEC) fosters student leadership, campus-community partnerships, civic and community engagement, and knowledge networks focused on improving the retention and success of underrepresented students, increasing awareness and support for equity and inclusion, and building sustainable campus/community partnerships and resilient communities. 

    The program aims to recruit and mobilize AmeriCorps members and student volunteers to provide direct service support in Washington and Idaho that will further college and career readiness for underrepresented students, improve community health and food security, and increase environmental stewardship.

  • Student Civic Leader Fellowships

    The Student Civic Leader Fellowships program provides educational and financial support to students who are working to solve critical issues within their communities. Resources include stipends, training and networking opportunities and cohort communities for learning and engagement facilitated by professionals in the field.

    Student Civic Leadership Awards

    The Student Civic Leadership Awards (SCLA) recognizes outstanding Student Civic Leaders from member institutions. Campuses may name two President’s Student Civic Leadership Awards winners and those students may advance for consideration for the Governor’s Student Civic Leadership Award.

  • Annual Network Meeting

    The Network Meeting is an annual event that convenes representatives from member campuses from around the state. participants engage in professional development workshops, network with colleagues, and share and exchange campus- and community-based resources.

    Presidential Leadership

    Annual all presidents meetings and events to connect member presidents.

    Ongoing Training & Development

    Washington Campus Coalition convenes periodic training and development opportunities for member institutions on critical issues facing higher education, communities and democracy.

    Continuums of Service Conference

    A National Conference brings together Community Engagement Practitioners from across the country to build the collective commitment and vision for a healthy and just society through ongoing dialogue and collaboration.

  • Washington Campus Coalition engages in advocacy to stakeholders and policy makers at the federal, state and local levels. Ongoing advocacy objectives include maintaining and expanding national service opportunities; support for college access, persistence, and completion mentoring and coaching programs; state support for developing a statewide data collection mechanism for higher education service projects; and support for higher education and student engagement initiatives.
